The best way to describe the way I work is intuitive. I am able to ‘tune in’ to you and find the best way to communicate with you, this includes active listening, reflecting, summarising and paraphrasing what you have said. All the while checking for understanding and ensuring I know what it is you mean and want to say.

I will also sit with you in silence. Counselling isn’t a back and forth, it’s a process allowing you to unburden and discover yourself. What you do with that discovery is also up to you.

Experience

Experience

I have 7 years counselling experience coupled with 15 in personal training and over 20 in athletics coaching, which helps me address the link between the mind and body in terms of health and wellbeing.

Clients learn to trust themselves again, experience happiness, freedom, joy, make significant life changes and live the live they want to live.

Therapy takes many forms and my integrative approach allows me to find the best one to suit your needs.

I am a BACP registered, integrative counsellor, with over 5 years in private practice.

I have a level 4 and level 5 diploma in integrative psychotherapy and specialise in working with adults with personal growth and development issues stemming from abuse, neglect and trauma.

Aside from my own private practice I have worked in student welfare, anger management agencies, and employment assistance programmes. I have used my integrative approach to work with individuals recovering from substance misuse, providing group fitness sessions and individual counselling.

I have a wide range of experience and work well with:

  • anger,

  • depression,

  • anxiety,

  • self-esteem,

  • trauma,

  • health,

  • fitness,

  • sports performance.
